Sebastian Zbik Beat Domenico Spada
DATE: 4/17/2010
TITLE: interim WBC middleweight title
VENUE: Bordelandhalle, Magdeburg, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany
PREDICTION: Sebastian Zbik
RESULT - Sebastian Zbik - Points win
In a highly charged rematch, WBC interim middleweight world champion Sebastian Zbik (29-0, 10 KOs) won a clear twelve round unanimous decision over WBC #2 rated Domenico Spada (30-3, 15 KOs) on Saturday night at the Bordelandhalle in Magdeburg, Germany. This time, Zbik was too mobile, too fast and too well schooled for the wild and aggressive Spada. The champion was cut over the left eye and on the bridge of the nose by head clashes in round four (Spada was deducted a point under WBC rules). However, Spada slowed down in the second half of the fight and Zbik dominated down the stretch to win 117-110, 116-111, 116-111. All questions left after the first Zbik-Spada fight were answered tonight.
